As a sequel to the popular 2003 Peppermint Pops, we again bring back Tri-Staters who are enjoying highly successful careers on Broadway, television and the concert stage. Buy your own Browncoat

Because she knows that we fans are desperate to own original pieces of our heroes' costumes - and because as she admits, her kids would like to go to college - Firefly costume designer Shawna Trpcic has decided to auction off some of the items left over from the show’s run.

So she’s set up an auction site to sell various items including, most excitingly, Mal’s trademark brown coat and one of Inara’s dresses. There are plenty of goodies to be found on her site, but you can expect the bidding to be fierce and the final prices to be high. These are original pieces, not replicas, and were actually worn by the likes of Nathan Fillion on the set.

You can reach Shawna’s auction site HERE

Results of SFX Magazine Readers Awards for 2005

Doctor Who and Serenity were the big winners in the UK’s SFX Magazine Readers Awards for 2005.

Serenity (the big-screen movie based on Joss Whedon’s Firefly) won the award for Best Film, while Nathan Fillion and Summer Glau picked up awards for Best Actor and Best Actress respectively. Joss Whedon won the Best Director award for his work in Serenity.

Doctor Who was named as Best TV Show, with Lost and Battlestar Galactica completing the top three for that category in that order. The Doc’s Series One finale, ‘The Parting of the Ways’ won the award for Best TV Episode (with ‘The Empty Child’, ‘Dalek’ and ‘The Doctor Dances’ completing a top four whitewash for the Doc.)

Christopher Eccleston, the Ninth Doctor, won the Best TV Actor award, while co-star Bille Piper has the Best TV Actress award as a companion. Speaking of Bille, she also won the Sexiest Woman award, while Firefly’s Nathan Fillion was named as the Sexiest Man.

Cast of Serenity To Gather at Convention for Fans and For Charity

Three years ago, the television show Firefly debuted on the Fox Network. Created by Joss Whedon, who was also behind the hit series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, the show was a bit of a departure from the status quo for Whedon. There were no vampires, no demons...except for mankind itself. Set in the future, Firefly dealt with the crew of the ship Serenity and its passengers. Part sci-fi, part western, the series was totally unique on the television schedule. And even though the show had great writing and a talented cast, Fox decided to cancel the show after only 13 episodes.(more)

Catch Adam Baldwin in The Posiedon Adventure tonight at 8pm on NBC. Adam reprises the role of Mike Rogo previously played by Ernest Borgnine in the 1972 original.

As the luxury liner Poseidon slices through the waters of an ocean storm, the greatest danger is already on board—a terrorist with an explosive message for the world. Detonated on New Year’s Eve, the blast capsizes the ship leaving a motley few—the madman among them—struggling for survival in an upside-down hell of life-and-death drama.

Take my love, take my land, take me where I cannot stand, I don't care, I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me.

Take me out to the black, tell em I ain't coming back, Burn the land, and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.

Have no place I can be, since I found Serenity, but you can't take the sky from me.
